Our story

Established by Tarmo and Gristel, Lehe Brewery is a small Estonian brewery, which was born from the wish to share the passion and joy the brewing and drinking has given us. During the four-year home brewing, we gain more and more new friends and fans of our beers, who wanted to know when it would be possible to buy our beer from store or pub. That is how the decision was made to change the brewing from hobby to business.

Tarmo is doing it because the finger given to the brewing devil is now taken up to the shoulder and the thought of brewing, and bustling with the malts, hops and yeast makes the eye sparkle.   Gristel is fascinated by the thought of using her experience as a leader in her own company and of course, the old unforgettable affection towards manufacturing.

Rooms are rented for brewery in Keila, Paldiski mnt 21. These are industrial premises and there will be no pub or corner for tasting. The equipment needed for brewing, including the 1 000 liter brew kettle manufactured by the Slovak company Techimpex s.r.o. The beer is made in a traditional handcraft way using only malts, hops, water, and yeast.  We do not use preservatives or flavor enhancers in our beers. Our beer is not pasteurized or sterilized.

We have the freedom to brew the beer we like and is an interesting smack to good beer admirer. We have no obligations to investors, which would force us to make compromise in the quality or range of products. The beer in our brewery is born out of love and not the desire to gain the market share or grow revenue. Customers’ smiles and good mood is the yardstick. We believe that each draught of beer must be an experience.
